So much to do!

Hi everyone! I'm new to the board. I just started planning my wedding for early next year. We want a winter wedding and got engaged on February so Feb or March. My question is, should I already have almost everything booked and done. I've seen brides here getting married also next year who are almost done with their preparations. I started by looking at hotels for my ceremony and reception. So far I like Embassy Suites and The Castle hotel. I want to spend only about $3,000 for hotel and I'm looking for a place that will give me the most for my money (ceremony location, food for about 50 guests, decorations, dance floor...). We want an indoor wedding. Any recommendations please? Thank you! ^_^ *HUGZ*

BrideZilla

Did anyon see the bridezilla episode on the We Channel of the bride who had the 25 ft veil and the castle? I also did this wedding for 160 people and stayed within my $15k budget. My ceremony was at the Northland Chapel in Longwood, FL. My reception was at the Longwood Community Building. It has a gorgeous old timey feel, not cold like a reception hall. My caterer was Levans. They were awesome, they did a whole lot of extras with out having to pay extra. They set everything up, and broke everything down. The food was delicious. I used Nvision productions for my DJ. Tony was our personal DJ. He was very professional, and a lot of fun to work with (I found them in The perfect Wedding Guide). For my flowers I went with Atlantis Flowers, Elsa did a fantastic job. I had calla lilies, she totally helped me stay within my budget (again found on TPWG). For my photography I went with a referral from a friend. TLC Photography with Deborah Anne. She did a fantastic job, I will never have pictures done anywhere else (you can check out her work on givealittletlc.com, my pics are under Lindsey and Brandon). She also gives you pricing on her packages online (most places don't). Do not be fooled she is not only a photographer, she did everything that day. She even laced me into my dress. I had my cake and the groom's cake done at Publix, they were declicious and beautiful. Lastly my dress came from Caesars in Altamonte Springs. They are great there, their prices are fair also. They have such a great customer service attitude also, not snooty like some of the other places. My biggest fear was that my bridesmaid dresses were going to come in wrong (anyone who has had to buy a bridesmaid dress knows this always happens to one of the girls), they were all correct. I just thought that I would share with all the upcoming brides. My wedding day was stress free because I had great people helping out. Please feel free to ask me any questions about the people I used.
